New Project

The Greater Buffalo-Niagara Regional Transportation Council (GBNRTC), the Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) for Erie and Niagara Counties, is proposing to amend the 2023-2027 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) by adding one (1) new project.

The project will:

  • Restore the pavement condition to at least a score of 8 (or higher) using effective pavement treatments which provide a service life of at least 8 years.

  • Improve bicycle facilities within the corridor

  • Reduce expected accident rates by providing a consistent lane configuration along the corridor with a two-way center turn lane.

The total project cost is $2.577M ($2.029 NHPP + $0.548M SDF. Fiscal constraint will be maintained.

The obligation date will be 4/25.

The GBNRTC is currently in consultation with the Interagency Consultation Group for Air Quality Conformity (ICG) for a Transportation Conformity determination. Exemption Code A10 - Pavement resurfacing and/or rehab.

Public comments will be received for 30 days from 10/24/24 until Close of Business (COB) on 11/24/24.
